Living with the Land On demand for groups of 4-8 people A week on the land, living the good life. Come and stay in our home (shared accommodation), living amongst our trees and animals, working on, learning about, producing from, and eating off our land. Learn the skills to grow and harvest and store your own fruit, vegetables and animals in a holistic integrated system. Gather hundreds of ideas and inspiration in a packed week living the good life! |
Practical modules will be nine of the following – depending on weather/season/interest
Milking a house cow
Making butter/yoghurt/ simple cheese
Making bread - three easy ways
Planting trees
Processing meat (jerky/sausages/smoking)
Killing and plucking poultry
Compost making / making liquid fertiliser and mulching
Small machinery maintenance
Vegetable garden seed planting / making seed-raising mix
Seed saving techniques
Pruning a home orchard
Micro-climates/frost protection techniques
Harvesting and storing produce - drying, freezing, processing, orchard hygiene

Managing pasture naturally

You will be caring for, making and eating home-grown organic food.
You will leave with a provided booklet of notes (including recipes), cuttings, seeds and produce you have made and a head buzzing full of ideas and inspiration.
