I have been growing my own food in the Waikato for twenty years, using an integrated, natural ecosystem that contains over
500 edible plants and a wide variety of livestock.
Friends tell me I am lucky to have such abundant, tasty food, but it is not luck.
It is planting and nurturing and harvesting and making it happen. And that takes effort, planning and knowledge.
I am a researcher, writer and speaker passionate about growing with nature.
Obtaining maximum nutrition and minimum input and impact.
I developed my own property from bare land, worked and Wwoofed throughout North Island NZ on a variety of productive properties, and then resurrected my property again from neglect and vandalism.
I have a nationwide network of specialist growers and am continually researching.
With a Bachelor of Experience (Be) from the School of Common Sense (ScS) and a lifetime of living on the land, I can
share practical, personalised information about a wide range of ideas, what worked for me, what didn't
and most importantly, how it could work for you.
My property is open to groups by appointment
and I am available for public speaking, workshops, private consultations, and design.
