Homegrown Harvest
On demand for groups of 4-8 people Being sustainable is not just about growing your own food - there is also harvesting, storing, processing and cooking it to produce nutritious meals for your family. Spend a weekend gleaming a hundred ideas how to do this easily, cheaply and efficiently. Have a go at milking a house cow, learn how to make butter and yogurt, gourmet sausages, easy bread and sugar-free jam (you'll never settle for less again!). Swap food storage and processing hints and ideas with Sheryn, or head into the workshop with Steve for ideas regarding lawnmower and chainsaw maintenance, homemade smokers, liquid compost systems, dehydrators etc. It's a fun weekend sharing techniques that turn raw produce into nourishing food and junk into useful objects. |
