Cows and Cheese 3-5 May 2019 Come for a rural weekend doing all things dairy. Milk Miss Sue Ellen, my lovely house cow who provides us with ample organic, A2, milk - and learn how to process that into a range of yummy healthy dairy products. You will take away a selection of your products, plus a basic understanding of all things to do with milk and cheese making. Experience the good life! |
Live our rural lifestyle and meet the animals, enjoy the spring blossom and start the day by hand milking the cow.
Then:
Make your own butter to take home - and learn how to make herb butters and semi-soft.
Learn how to make the most delicious, healthy yogurt
Enjoy a fresh smoothie
Get my easy, wholesome recipes for tasty pastry and healthy ice cream.
Learn the theories of making all cheese and have a go making your own halloumi, feta and mozzarella
All the time enjoying some good country living and eating
For those interested in owning their own house cow discussion modules will include:
Impregnation of a solo cow
Fostering calves
Share-milking with a calf
Organic management including tick and facial eczema control
Pasture management, making supplementary feed on a small scale
Organic weed control
