Orchard and Lifestyle Block Design weekend

15th -17th May 2026 - FULL

Wondering where to start and what to do?
Which variety, where, what, how you will maintain long term?

Come and see what I have done, discuss what works
and what doesn't,
and collectively brainstorm  a design for your own property.

A good plan can save a lot of time and money, and ensure your block is both productive and fun!

See (and taste some) over 500 fruit, nut and berry plants in a mature, productive, lifestyle block.
See the long-term effects of different pruning and pest and disease management strategies.

Consider various understoreys,  grass management, and weed control methods.
Discuss what has works (and what doesn't) and why, and how it can apply to you.
Compare various tools, learn tool maintenance, and discuss what qualities are important when buying your own machines.
Plant a tree and view how input at this time can give massive returns.
Discuss different harvesting methods and how to plant and prune to accommodate.
Learn about all-important orchard hygiene and easy strategies to implement it.
View low-effort mulching, composting and fertilising methods to suit a home orchard.

Discuss and see options for shelter, firewood, and riparian planting.
Discuss systems for the housing and management of livestock.
See different types of fencing and their pros and cons.
See my version of
pig shelters, chook houses, duck pens, milking shed, hay barns, stock yards, animals pens.
Consider and accommodate future options.

And most importantly of all, bring your dreams together into a workable plan for your own block.

Starting Friday evening through to Sunday afternoon.
All accommodation and organic whole food included,

Bring aerial photos, plans or a sketch of your property, and a list of your wants and needs.
We will collectively spend time focusing on each participant - giving suggestions and ideas specific to your block.
You will leave with
a head buzzing full of ideas  and a wealth of tips and knowledge that you can apply to your own situation.

Cost $1200 per couple/plan, $1000 per single with plan
Limited to three couples/plans

Thanks for the weekend and the great hospitality.
I just wanted to say again it was immensely helpful and has solidified information, ideas and the ability to put a plan in place.

Very fun, enjoyable weekend with like-minded people. Makes for lots of fun.
